Eunice Neilson

You're not going to get a straight answer from conservatives.

As a lib, I will tell you I plain don't know.

I know that China has many of the same problems America used to have at the beginning of the industrial revolution.

Problems like excessive legal pollution, slave wages, dangerous sweat shop working conditions, corruption, big business literally buying government (in China it usually happens at the local level), lack of powers for workers, long work hours, etc.

However, at the upper level, it does seem like the leadership has acknowledged these problems and are seeking change.

I know this from watching a four part documentary on China on PBS. It was a pretty intersting show.

Norman Paynter

Your younger family members, generally speaking, I understand that China has began to address this social issue due to their industrialization by creating senior citizen housing/convalescent facilities.
I do not think Vietnam has one.
