Remotes wear out over time. You might want to get on ebay and order a new replacement remote, get in contact with the manufacturer for the programming procedure, and see if the new remotes work.
Another way to test the remotes is to go to Autozone and test it there. Most Autozones have a remote testing station at the checkout.
I have known aftermarket alarm ‘head’ units go bad, but this is usually because they are located right next to the heater vent, but most last 10 to 12 years.
